We had my Dad's surprise 70th Birthday Party in the Orangery at The Mansion House. Wow! What an amazing venue which was just perfect!! We also had private use of the courtyard outside which was... great, especially as the sun was shining! Ideal for the children too. The food was lovely (everyone commented on this) and the staff were friendly and worked really hard to help make the day so special. Would definately recommend as the room is so versatile and ideal for any occasion. Thanks to Dave and the team xxxread more

We held our daughters wedding at this beautiful venue on 27th April 2019. From the moment I met Dave the day before the event I knew that we were in good hands. Everything, apart from the rain on the... day, was absolutely wonderful. The venue, the food and the bar service were all spot on. I just cannot praise Dave and his super friendly team highly enough. Lots of our guests have since told me that it is the best wedding they have ever attended which was the icing on the cake for this mother of the bride. Thank you xxread more

My mum sadly passed away in January and we wanted the venue for after the funeral to be perfect. We are so glad that we chose the orangery in the mansion house! It was perfect. A beautiful setting... and the orangery was fantastic. Everything was perfect..the food, the staff and the service we received were all top class. Thank you...from all of our family. Went to a wedding at the Mansion House in September 2018. It was a professionally run day from start to finish, food was lovely and I can’t thank the staff enough for their help. Chef made a dairy... free menu for my 18 month old, and they helped me to search for his dummy for about half an hour eventually nipping to the shop to buy one for him. All staff went above and beyond to make it a great day!read more

Had the breakfast with Santa- well should I say raw food and a Santa that turned up over an hour and a half late! False email address handed out when we asked for a refund! No high chair on the day... for me baby, food being carried around outside with tea towels on top before being dished out! And when you complain to them they tell you to put it all in writing then don’t bother getting back to you! Don’t bother going anywhere near here !read more

Fantastic wedding venue. We had the perfect day (23rd June) in a fabulous setting. Laura and her team were brilliant, as were all of the other Mansion House staff. Chalkies catering were fantastic... too. Our guests had a lovely day and commented on how good the venue and food was. We had the most wonderful day- it couldn’t have been any better! Got married here on Sunday can't thank Laura and the staff there enough we couldn't of wished for a more perfect and personal day the grounds the settings the sun everything was just amazing,it was... so relaxed and beautiful and everyone has commented on what a gorgeous day they had,Laura worked so hard to make sure everyone was looked after not just me and my husband,and everyone loved the food daytime and evening,we couldn't of chose a better venue to suit everyone,if your looking for a wedding venue my advice would be to go and check mansion house out before anywhere else they do 1 wedding a weekend not like hotels who have 2 per day....Thank you again to Laura and the mansion house love from a very happy bride and groom ��read more

The Mansion house and grounds were lovely. The beer and gin festival was disappointing, not a very good selection of ales and I have more types of gin in my home than at the gin bar, also they ran... out of gin glasses ?? Altogether a disappointing experience made ok by the beautiful sunshine.read more

We have recently used The Mansion House as the venue for my father's Celebration of Life. We were looking for somewhere that could cater for large numbers with good car parking facilities. The... Mansion House surpassed our requirements on every front. Whilst our guests commented on the beautiful setting and delicious hot buffet, what impressed us most was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From our initial enquiries, everyone we came into contact with treated us with care and compassion. Chris (Food and Beverage Manager) and his team worked with us to ensure that everything was just as we wanted. The bar staff were respectful and professional throughout the event and we cannot praise them highly enough. Hopefully we won't be planning another Celebration of Life any time soon, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Mansion to anyone who is planning an event of any nature. Many thanksread more

Only experienced this place as a stall holder at an event. Lack of advertising resulting in very poor footfall. Little interest from event organiser, passed from pillar to post via phone calls when... enquiring with basic questions. Emails ignored. Will not be attending any future events here. Spoke with other stallholders who had similar views.read more

Attended my niece's wedding on Saturday and the venue was beautiful. All the staff worked really hard to make sure we all had a lovely day. Only thing I would say is that they need more bar staff and... glasses to be collected as they ran out. But apart from that it was a totally amazing day that we all can't stop talking about. We had our wedding here on May14th 2016. We had beautiful weather that just made the whole setting even more perfect. Sandra and her team had everything organised to perfection and everything just... flowed without a hitch. We had opted for a later wedding with afternoon tea followed with an evening disco with buffet, which at lot of our guests said they preferred that to a sit down 3 course meal. Don’t just take our word for it!
I just wanted to say thank you and to offer my special compliments to you and your staff for a wonderful day on Saturday. I know you all worked so hard behind the scenes and on the day to make it so special. The Mansion House, garden and Diamond Suite, converted to the wedding room, were all superb. The flow between the different places and phases of the day from arrival, to wedding ceremony to drinks reception to dinner to disco to buffet to the end, all seamless. We all had a great time and I heard many compliments about the venue, food, wedding decor and flower arrangements, and of course the staff. It was nice that the sun broke through, that guests got to survey the gardens and the kids could roam in safety. I particularly enjoyed being on the guest side of things, it was a wonderful day. I do hope you get many more bookings. I shall certainly promote it.
